About Me

I have been a personal trainer for 18 years. In that time, I have trained people you have not met and not heard of as well as athletes in the top league of their profession - I train all types and shapes.

I am genuinely interested in my career and read around the subject of personal training, nutrition, and other supporting subjects constantly.

I apply this knowledge to my clients’ training sessions to keep things fresh and at the cutting edge of the industry thinking to get effective and sustained results.

The equipment you use is the equipment I use and is the best on the market at the moment (my Watt Bike is the same model used by the GB Olympic cycling team).

I will work with you on your nutrition intake, especially on training days, so you can train more effectively and learn how to look after your diet better.

I feel privileged that people put their trust in me to help them with their health and wellbeing. I never abuse this trust and consider patient confidentiality, in every respect, to be a given.

My gym is very private where you can train with me without being seen, I hope this helps you train without fear and to your optimum.

Being a former Royal Marines Commando, I take my work, that’s you, seriously so I will be tough with you at times to help you achieve your results and afterwards we will have a laugh.

I have few rules, posture, performance and punctuality. I will explain these to you when you join me for your first session.

If you are still wondering if this is right for you, I would encourage you to phone me so I can answer all your questions and book a free consultation – experiencing is often the best way to learn – give me a try, I want to help you…

Life Coach Mental Training: Mental training is just as important as physical training. Being a highly qualified life coach I can help you build a positive mindset, set achievable goals, manage stress, and develop strategies to overcome challenges. I basically provide guidance and support to help you achieve your personal and fitness aspirations.

Mindset Shift: As a life coach I can also help you identify and change negative thought patterns and beliefs that might be holding you back.

Goal Setting: I will assist you in setting clear and achievable goals, both short-term and long-term. I will help you break down large goals into smaller, manageable steps, keeping you focused and motivated along the way.

Stress Management: Learning effective stress management techniques is crucial for maintaining overall well-being. A life coach can teach you strategies to cope with stress, such as deep breathing, mindfulness, time management, and creating healthy boundaries.

Confidence Building: We help you recognise your strengths and achievements, boosting your self-confidence. Ill provide support as you work towards building a stronger sense of self-worth and self-esteem.

Overcoming Obstacles: As a life coach I shall assist you in identifying and overcoming obstacles that are preventing you from reaching your potential. I will also guide you through problem-solving and finding creative solutions.

Fitness Instructor: Nick Taylor is both a fitness instructor and a personal trainer. I'm a trained professional who guides you through exercises, ensuring you perform them correctly and safely. I can create customised workout plans, provide motivation, and offer expert advice on reaching your fitness goals.

Fitness Goals: Setting fitness goals is essential to track your progress and stay motivated. Whether it's running a certain distance, lifting a certain weight, or improving your overall health, having clear goals helps you stay focused and determined. Here at Nick's personal training we always set difficult but achievable goals, this helps strengthen the body and mind at the same time.

Fitness Plan: A fitness plan outlines your goals, the type of exercises you'll do, how often you'll work out, and how you'll track progress. It helps you stay organised and consistent in your fitness journey. I will be pushing and encouraging you all the way, I will never set goals that we can not reach!

Types of Fitness Training I offer: There are various types of fitness training we explore, including:
